Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress, best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is is an American producer and actress who has performed in theatre as well as television and film productions and is active on both sides of the screen. Her career in acting began at the theatre. She then appeared in several television shows as well as independent and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and numerous awards and nominations, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her acting debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her role in the series Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In the world of television, her character in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
