Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. She received an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian acting schools. The award was presented to her as an award for the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. She was chosen as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. This film received a number of distinctions, among them the European Film Award Best Actress given by the British Film Critics. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014), she played Irma, a German woman who served as Emma's aunt.
